InvestorLink in a Nutshell

The Product
InvestorLink is a provider of historical and end of day financial data. In short, we provide financial data files and the daily updates required to keep those files current. This data is generally used in conjunction with common analytical software such as Microsoft Excel or specialized financial charting software such as Omega SuperCharts.

We provide the following data:

  • Stock data from United States traded exchanges.

  • Stock index data.

  • Commodities data from United States traded exchanges.

  • Commitment of traders data.

  • Mutual fund data from United States traded exchanges.

We do not provide:

  • Stock or futures options data.

  • Data from non-US exchanges.

  • Intraday or tick data.

  • Charting software.

Software
We provide a free utility, malled Databoss, to our customers. Databoss is a downloader and data management tool which downloads both historical and end of day data, updates existing historical files, applies corrections, split adjusts stock files, as well as other useful functions.

Use of Databoss is not mandatory. Some of our customers, especially those using a non-Windows operating system like Linux or Macintosh, manage the data with their own means. Most people, however, do use Databoss because it provides an easy way to download and maintain their financial data.

Product Delivery
Historical data can be retrieved by the following means:

  • Downloading via Databoss.

  • Downloading via direct FTP (internet transfer).

  • InvestorLink historical data CD.

End of Day data (eod) can be retrieved by the following means:

  • Downloading via Databoss.

  • Internet email via attachment.

  • MSO web site via customer login.

Compatibility
InvestorLink's native data format is comma delimited ASCII - in other words, text files with the data fields separated by commas. ASCII is a standard format which is readable by practimally ALL software, including spreadsheets, wo
