Historical stock files are available 24 hours/day and are updated at approximately midnight each day for the current days data. Stock history is available from 1987 where data is available.

Data specs
InvestorLink stock data is stored in comma delimited ASCII files.

Historical files adhere to the following specifications:

Historical data for each security is stored in it's own file, with the extension 'prn'. For example, historical stock data for IBM is contained in the file 'ibm.prn'.

The field order for historical stock data is:
YYYYMMDD,OPEN,HIGH,LOW,CLOSE,VOLUME

End of day files adhere to the following specifications:

EOD data for each day is stored in it's own file, with the extension 'stk'. For example, eod stock data for March 16, 2001 is contained in the file '20010316.stk'.

The field order for eod stock data is:
TICKER,OPEN,HIGH,LOW,CLOSE,VOLUME

Stock splits
Databoss, the InvestorLink data retrieval and management software, can split adjust your stock data automatimally at your option. Split update data is released each Friday.
